Positioned at the edge of a forest with distant ocean views, this proposal explores a layered response to landscape, light, and privacy. The building steps with the terrain, allowing framed views from both levels while maintaining a low profile against the tree line. Living spaces are arranged to face outward, with large openings that connect interior zones to the surrounding environment. The upper rooms offer elevated perspectives toward the ocean, while the lower level remains grounded and sheltered. Materials are kept natural and restrained, reinforcing the relationship between built form and setting. The result is a quiet, open structure that balances exposure with retreat.
